EditOverview
Once you log on to SalesdeskSuite, the Contacts page will appear as the home page. By default, the input fields on this page are filled with your own contact information. You can view another contact’s information by making the menu selection
Contacts→Contact List from the main menu bar, then clicking on a name on the resulting page.

EditMore Tools Box
Click on the link "More Tools" to expand the box, displaying buttons that offer additional features regarding contacts.

SCHEDULE Button: Click on this button to schedule an event, such as an appointment, reminder, note, or conference call, with a contact.

PRINT Button: If you are viewing the contact list, click on this button to print the contact list. If you are viewing details for a contact, click on this button to print the contact’s information.

EMAIL Button: Click on this button to compose and send an email message. If you are viewing the contact list, by default your email address will appear in the “To” field of the email message. If you are viewing details for a contact, that contact’s email address will appear in the “To” field.

EXPORT CONTACTS Button: If you are viewing the contact list, click on this button to export the list to an Excel (.xls) spreadsheet. If you are viewing details for a contact, click on this button to export the contact’s information onto an Excel spreadsheet.

IMPORT CONTACTS Button: Click on this button to import contact information into the SalesdeskSuite database, as opposed to entering the information manually.
If you wish to hide the buttons, click on the link Hide Tools in the expanded box and the buttons will be hidden.

Click on the link in this box to assign the contact currently displayed on the Contacts page to a group.

EditView As

If you have administrator privileges, you can select a name from the pull-down menu in this box in order to add to, edit, or view that person’s list of contacts. You can also delete contacts for that person.

SalesdeskSuite provides an electronic filing system feature. You can scan or upload documents into the application. You must process these uploaded documents before they are actually stored in the SalesdeskSuite database. This box indicates the number of uploaded documents that are waiting to be processed. Click on the “# documents pending” link to go to the Process page. Refer to the section
“Documents: Process” for more information on this topic.
EditNews Box

This box contains links to the latest news on the “Yahoo!” web site. The SalesdeskSuite application is set up to display links from the web site specified when your company first purchases the application. The number of links displayed in this box is also determined at the time of set up. This feature is helpful if users of the SalesdeskSuite application, for example, if they want view the latest articles that pertain to similar products or services that they sell.
