Purpose

To add, view, or update licenses for your company's products.

Overview

As administrator, you can add, update, and view all the software licenses that exist for your company’s products.

View Licenses

To view a list of licenses that currently exist for the products, make the menu selection Administration→Licenses from the main menu bar.

The information listed is explained in the section "Add a new License".

1. To view details regarding a specific license, click on an entry under the Domain/Key column.

2. To generate a license file for a client, click on the Generate License File link for that client.

Add a New License

To add a new license, click on the ADD NEW ENTRY button on the Licenses page. The License Details page will appear.

1. Product – Select from the pull-down menu the product that the license is for. Note that the products listed in the pull-down menu are the same as the product entries that are created using the menu selection AdministrationProducts.

2. Company – Select from the pull-down menu the company using the product that the license is for. Note that the companies listed in the pull-down menu are the same as the client entries that are created using the menu selection AdministrationClients.

3. License Key – Enter a license key here or click on the GENERATE NEW KEY button to automatically generate a new license key for the product.

4. Domain – Enter the domain name from which the product will be executed.

5. Max Tenants – Enter the number of copies for this product that are allowed under this license.

6. Max Users – Enter the total number of users allowed for all tenants combined under this license.

7. Active – Check this box if this product is currently being used by the client.

8. Click on the SAVE button to save the new licensen into the SalesdeskSutie database. Click on the CANCEL button to discard any changes.

Edit an Existing License

1. On the Licenses page, click on the domain/key for the license that you wish to edit.

2. The License Details page will appear. Make the desired changes.

3. Click on the SAVE button to save your changes. Click on the CANCEL button to discard your changes.

Delete an Existing License

You cannot delete a license from the SalesdeskSuite database. However, if you wish to invalidate the product's license, you can edit the details for that license and remove the check mark from the Active check box.
