Purpose

To learn more about the user interface of the SalesdeskSuite application.

Overview

Once you have logged on successfully to SalesdeskSuite, you will see something similar to the following home page:

This section discusses the items that are displayed on all SalesdeskSuite web pages once you have successfully logged on.

User Bar

The user bar is located at the top right part of the SalesdeskSuite window.

Name
Your first and last names are displayed on the user bar along with the time that you logged on to the system.

MY PROFILE Button
Select this button to view or update personal information regarding your account. A tab called “PROFILE” will be created to display the following page:

LOGOUT Button
This button allows you to log out of SalesdeskSuite at anytime.

Navigation Bar (Main Menu Bar)

The navigation bar or main menu selection bar—the dark blue bar across the top of the window—is always displayed, no matter what page within SalesdeskSuite you are viewing. What menu selections you see depends on what access privileges you have. If you have limited access to SalesdeskSuite, the main menu selection bar may be blank. As Administrator, you have access to everything. The menu selection bar will look like the following:

Navigation Bar


Administration: If you have master privileges, you can make selections from this menu in order to add, modify, or delete information for clients, licensing, and products. You can also view a log that records connections to the various suite products that your company utilizes.

Control Panel: If you have administrator privileges, you can make selections from this menu in order to set up, update, and maintain the functionality of SalesdeskSuite. If you do not have Administrator privileges, this menu selection will not be displayed.

Contacts: This menu selection allows you to add, edit, update, or delete contacts from your contact list. If you have Administrator privileges, you can do the same for other users of SalesdeskSuite.

Groups: Groups are used to organize your list of contacts. This menu selection allows you to add, edit, update, or delete groups from SalesdeskSuite. If you have Administrator privileges, you can do the same for other users of SalesdeskSuite.

Calendars: This menu selection allows you to view your calendar by month, week, or day. You can also schedule an item on your calendar, such as an appointment, reminder, or conference call. If you have Administrator privileges, you can do the same for other users of SalesdeskSuite.

Documents: This menu selection allows you to utilize the electronic filling feature of the SalesdeskSuite application. You can upload and store documents as well as search the database for a document.

Search: This menu selection allows you to search for contact or event entries in the SalesdeskSuite that contain the string of text that you specify.

File Path

The file path is displayed directly below the main menu selection bar.

Each time you make a menu selection, the file path will be updated to display where you are within SalesdeskSuite.

Helpful Links

Once logged on to SalesdeskSuite, several links on the home page are provided for your convenience:
Help Icon: To the far right of the file path, directly below the main menu selection bar, you will see a blue circled question mark. This is the Help icon. Click on this icon to bring up another window that displays the SalesdeskSuite Help Wiki. This is a tool that you can use to view online help documentation on the SalesdeskSuite application.

SalesdeskSuite Logo: The logo at the top left corner of the SalesdeskSuite window can be clicked on at any time to display the home page of SalesdeskSuite.

Help: Click on this link to bring up another window that will display the SalesdeskSuite Help Wiki. This area provides helpful resources and documentation regarding the SalesdeskSuite application.

Feedback: If you have any feedback regarding the SalesdeskSuite application – for example, features that you would like to see – click on this link and a screen will come up where you can e-mail us with your comments or suggestions.
